Luontoa strengthens expertise in energy, finance, and land use sectors

Rosario Galán is an international expert in sustainability, biodiversity, and nature-based solutions. She has extensive experience in the implementation of the IUCN Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions, the development of the FSC certification system, and in contributing to the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. At Luontoa, Rosario supports forestry and biodiversity projects, bringing her broad international expertise and networks.

Hanna Paulomäki is an ecologist with extensive experience in nature conservation, sustainable development, and the energy transition. She has worked in the Finnish Nature Panel and in leadership positions in NGOs, and is currently pursuing a PhD at LUT University on the socio-ecological impacts of the energy transition. In 2025, Hanna authored and edited Designing Energy Systems within Planetary Boundaries – A Textbook for Energy Engineers. At Luontoa, she supports client work especially in the energy sector, combining research-based knowledge with practical solutions.

Hanna Skelly is an experienced professional in impact investing and sustainable development, with more than 20 years of experience in development finance institutions and the private sector. Her strengths include business models, investment strategies, financial instruments, and sustainability standards. At Luontoa, she supports client projects by bringing in her expertise in finance, investment, and business strategy, ensuring that solutions are not only environmentally and socially sustainable but also financially viable and aligned with clients’ business objectives.
