The impact of forestry on water bodies is a critical aspect of environmental responsibility that demands more effective and impactful measures. This area now requires determined development. In a significant client project, we are supporting Stora Enso’s wood sourcing operations in Finland to enhance its practices in forestry water protection and environmental responsibility.
As part of designing and launching Stora Enso’s water program, Luontoa will leverage its extensive expertise in forestry and wood sourcing water issues. The project aims to improve water stewardship from strategic development to implementing operational practices across all organizational levels.
“In this work, we utilize our strong expertise in supply chain responsibility and forestry operational processes, along with our broad understanding of the operational environment. We are familiar with the drivers of change in the forestry sector and assist Stora Enso in meeting growing stakeholder expectations and reporting obligations. However, the most important goal is reducing environmental harm. We challenge our client boldly and bring a scientific foundation to the development of the water program, which always guides Luontoa’s work,” says Johanna Haapala from Luontoa, who is involved in developing the water program.
